This series is based on a simple premise, and that premise is cute, bouncy Japanese girls running around in bright colored ninja outfits that look like leftovers from an 80s music video and having goofy, choreographed sword fights with each other. What makes the series good is that those same cute, bouncy Japanese girls seem to require an awful lot of baths.I always compare this series to the light-hearted sex comedies from the 80's, like "Ski School" and "H.O.T.S.." You know exactly what you are going to get, and they are cheesy but fun. While there are plots to go along with every film, neither the director nor the cast takes the production too seriously, and it is all done tongue-in-cheek. Being a pink film, the nudity is strictly T&A and the sex scenes are of the soft-core variety. I could have done with some more naked, but I could say the... The film quality was very good, and the story lines were enjoyable. While the acting wasnt on and Academy Award level, it was still enjoyable to watch. Although I would have prefered the stories to be dubbed in English, it was still interesting to view the subtitles. The characters were interesting, and there was and abundance of action. Its not" Enter the Dragon" But I think viewers will find this series entertaining |
PLEASURE FACTORY tells an intriguing and intimate tale involving pleasure seekers and pleasure providers in Geyland, Singapore`s popular but little-known red-light district. Over the course of one night, a young cadet loses his virginity; a teenage girl gets initiated into the pleasure manufacturing process; and a jaded prostitute pays a young man good money in exchange for a song he never gets to sing.
Ami (Minase Yashiro, in her film debut) is a tough but otherwise average high school girl, trying to lead a normal life. Her world comes crashing down when her brother and his friend are killed by ruthless bullies. As Ami tracks down the ringleader, she is surprised to discover the bullies' association with a sinister ninja yakuza family. When she goes after her revenge, she soon finds herself in over her head and minus her left arm. Barely surviving, Ami escapes and seeks out shelter from two kindly garage mechanics. They take pity on her, fitting her with a high-powered machine gun where her arm used to be. She then teams up with the chainsaw-wielding mother (Asami) of her brother's slain friend and together they unleash an unholy, non-stop, over-the-top kill fest against the equally creative machinery (drill bra, flying guillotine) of their relentless ninja enemies.

One-Armed Machine Girl) is an over-the-top, campy, ultra-violent action film by Iguchi Noboru (Sukeban Boy). The film is definitely NOT for everyone but will appeal to fans of Japanese cult films with a touch of dark comedy and unrealistic ultra-bloody violence made popular by Ichi the Killer and even Tarantino's magnificent "Kill Bill". If cinematic cheese were real cheese, it could open it's own pizza parlor. If an ultraviolent anime came to life, it would be this film. I haven't seen a display like this since Riki-Oh. And at least that one had the restraint to refrain from drill-bra versus chainsaw duels and Power Ranger-esque ninja death squads. But make no mistake, this is one of the most hysterically good times a gorehound can have with a single DVD.Blood covers the screen, the heroines, the villains, the floor, and everything else in this film, sometimes to the point where it's all you can see. Let me start off by saying I really like the movie. It's an over-the-top, low-budget, Japanese action/comedy film. Similar to movies like Riki-Oh, Vampire girl vs. Frankenstein girl, Tokyo Gore Police, Mutant Girls' Squad and a number of other titles). Very gory, but very entertaining! The other reviews should give you an idea of what to expect - or just pull up the trailer. You should be able to tell if it's "for you" or not. My 3 star-rating is for the BLU-RAY, not the movie.
