Well, despite being inspired by a true story, this is the most contrived piece of, dare I say, filmmaking I've seen in awhile. Nothing is good or even good-looking. The movie traces the rise and fall of a politician (Teresa Mak) who unwittingly has her sex life taped by a Hong Kong private eye (Daniel Wu) who, in turn, has been hired by someone out to get the her....or so we think. There's a lot of backstabbing involving other politicians, secret lovers, and generally nasty associates, which is fine because almost every character is despicable in some way. That leaves little room for sympathy but, apparently, a LOT of room for nudity; all the action is either an excuse to get undressed or to watch someone get undressed.
